So we ordered our food and we waited over an hour… which was fine. The website said it’d be about an hour. The duder shows up and hands me some stuff. I sign for my pizza and he leaves. I then realize I’m missing half the food. We check the pizzas and their slung about in the box and they’re cold. Normally I’m not one to complain but I dropped $40 (including the tip) on food that I didn’t get and the stuff I did get was horrible quality. I’ve never had any issues with Pizza Hut so I called. They said they’d replace everything that was wrong. The basically replaced the order. We waited and received the new order in about another half hour. When we finally started eating.. we both immediately got sick.

I took a survey on the back of the reciept and unleashed my extreme anger on it’s small boxes. At the end I realized no one would probably care from the survey… so I went on to their site and submitted my experience and to my surprise I got a call the next day. They said they credited my whole order and it would be waiting for me whenever I decided to try them again. I asked if I could use the credit online because that was my preferred way of ordering pizza. The manager stated it was fine and that it was all linked by phone number. Again I thought “wow, these guys really have it down pat with their online offering!” I excitedly ordered from them again tonight.. when I got to the check out however… it asked me for a credit card and being a programmer I was like “hmm.. maybe it just needs it but wont charge anything once we get to the confirmation page..” I was wrong. It charged me the whole thing again. I quickly gave them a phone call and I was told the following:

“Oh, store credits are only good in the store!” I replied, “That’s not what your manager said… she said I could use it online just fine.” The rep replied, “oh, that’s a new one…” and I go “ok, so can you cancel the charges and just apply the credit?” she takes my phone number and says “oh there’s no credit on here…” and I go “uhh.. no I was told twice (the manager called 2x) that there was a $40 credit on my account..” “hold please” I wait and she finally comes back “ok I added the credit for next time.” I replied, “no, I’d like it this time please.” she response “I can’t do that.” I tell her “ok, well I wouldn’t have ordered it if I was going to have to pay… cancel the whole order and I’ll eat something else” Quickly her manager gets on and fixes it. I was told I still have an $8 credit but I’m pretty doubtful that’ll happen. I haven’t really ever had problems but the store out by my new crib seems to be having SERIOUS issues. Anyways, thought i’d share the crazy time… overall Pizza hut did make the situation right and I have to commend them on that… Few places would go to the trouble. I’ll probably stick with them every now and then… but I’m still sort of scared of what may happen with my next order. I’ll keep you posted.

With it’s 4 million plus views it’s no wonder why Radiohead is still alive and kicking in the music scene. They have completely lead the new digital age. Their last album “In-Rainbows” was released on a ‘name your price’ scale where people could grab it for free or for $200,000 if they’d like. This album sticks to the traditional pricing structure but went viral already due to it’s ‘out of nowhere’ news release. The album was announced a week before it would drop. A video of lead singer Thom York was released (seen above) shortly after and the album has already been circling around the web even before the release date stated by the band’s official release… from the band’s very website. It’s been very interesting to say the lease to see them try new things, even if their music isn’t your cup of tea it’s still something modern musicians can learn from.

The guy – He seems to always try to be in everyone’s business. I swear when I’m not home he’s chatting up the other people in the building about me and whatever he can learn. I’m not sure what he does for a living but I’d swear he was a private eye in a past life the way he is compelled to know everything about everyone else. He also has a crazy thing for his car. He ALWAYS backs his car into the spot which is actually against his lease and he should be ticketed/etc according to our lease holder’s agreement but he probably has some dirt on the landlords or something. His front license plate says something to the effect of “I value this car more than I value your life, don’t touch it or else!” He also ALWAYS blares his music/sound system and the best part is… he will sit in his car, backed in of course, and listen to two or three more songs with his windows down (even in the winter) to make sure everyone can realize how ‘cool’ he is.

One day, I looked out of my door because I thought he was dragging a canoe up the stairs. I was wrong, it was a dented ladder he found on the side of the highway. I overheard him through our door as he told the story in the hallway to half our building. “Yeah, so I saw this on the side of the highway and a cop showed up as I was looking at it on the side of the road. He told me if no one came back and got it within 24 hours that I could take it. Today, I became the owner of this $100 ladder, FOR FREE!!!!” He started knocking on my door to tell me the story that I had just heard. I pretended not to be home…. all 4 times he knocked on my door.

The girl – She has two kids with this guy but they hate each other for the most part. She’s bitter at him because he wont let her have a Facebook account because he’s afraid she’ll cheat on him. He also breaks her cell phone once a month. Being nice neighbors before we knew better with these whack jobs, we let her use our phone once. She now stops by anytime she wants to chat up one of her friends… to talk on our cell phones… and use our minutes up. Around the same time we let her use our computer once. She now visits us once a week to use our computer. The fun part is, she uses it to check HIS email because she thinks HE is cheating on her.

They fight everyday and she has come over sobbing asking to use the phone because she is ‘over it, and has to move out.’ Now it’s gotten physical a few times and so we let her use the phone but she never does anything about it. There was one time where he followed her OVER to our apartment to ask us to let him in because she doesn’t need to use the phone. I told him that he should just cool it and let her make a call if she needs to. Again, this is all before we knew better.

Since then… we’ve pretty much been trying to avoid them. I’ve lately resorted to just making up ridiculous lies to get them to leave us alone but they don’t get the hint. Tonight when I opened the door (only because I had unfortunately been seen as I was taking out my trash moments earlier), I simply said “sup?!” and she goes “is your lady friend here?” (because she’s nicer than I’ve been to them lately.) “yep! what is this about?” She looked at me and tried to act cute and say “can I use her phone” I responded “we don’t have phones anymore, we’re moving.” she then with a puzzled look on her face and a crinkled brow said “oh.” I said, “sorry, *shrugs* see ya!” If she asks to use our computer again I’ve got the good old, “We’re both looking at pornography and can’t really stop because we had it scheduled for today…” excuse. If he comes over to tell me some stupid story I’ll probably say “WHAT?!” over and over again until he says he’ll come back later to which I’ll say “yeah haters gotta hate… ” and close the door.

Anyone else had any crazy neighbor stories? Again, I’m just glad i’m moving in less than a week.

Now Why am I so excited? Well look at the story revealed so far! FINALLY almost a decade after the first movie came out a brilliant writer decides to do something with the canister containing the dinosaur embryo/DNA that was dropped in the rain. We finally can see what happens to the duder on the dock that Dennis Nedry was talking to. PLUS a whole lot more if TellTale Games keeps true to their track record. I’m excited for the first episode to be released, I can’t wait for some dino-riffic fun!
